Classical Chinese (5) Verbal sentence

Verbal sentences are more complicated than nominal sentences. Because there are many types of verb in Chinese and some sentences contain more than 1 verb. The relation between those verbs is varied.

Here are some simple examples of it.
天雨。
Tiān yŭ
天:[N] the sky
雨:[V]to rain
Literally translate,
Sky rained.
Figurative translate.
It rained.


牆壞。
Qiáng huài
牆:[N] the wall
壞:[V]broken
The wall was broken.


宋人得兔。
Song rén de tù
宋人:[N]a man from Song
得:[V]catch
兔:[N]rabbit
A man from Song caught a rabbit.
