Chinese Idiom (2): 成語:塞翁失馬,焉知非福


塞翁失馬,焉知非福
sāi wēng shī mă ,yān zhī fēi fú 

literally: 
When the old man from the frontier lost his horse, how could one have known that it would not be fortuitous?

meaning:
A setback may turn out to be a blessing in disguise

Example:

失去那份工作真是塞翁失馬,焉知非福。我現在找到更喜歡的工作。
shī qù nà fēn gōng zuò zhēn shì sāi wēng shī mă,yān zhī fēi fú 。wǒ xiàn zài zhăo dào gèng xǐ huān de gōng zuò 。

Losing that job was a blessing in disguise really, and I found a much more enjoyable career now.
